Getting your Hair Extensions – what salon and what type do you choose?

If you are one of the many people across the UK who have made the decision to have hair extensions applied then I have a few words of advice for you before you actually have your extensions applied. It is vital that you find out everything there is to know about the hair extensions that you are planning on having applied and that you shop around for the best advice and care before you make the decision of where you are going to have your extensions applied.

Making the decision to have hair extensions is a big step as well as a large financial investment. You owe it to your hair to make sure that the extensions you are having are being placed in with the best application method for you and that the salon that you have decided to have your extensions applied at are qualified to place them in and have experience in doing so.

You should only opt to have your extensions applied at a salon that is licensed and have dealt with a number of clients who have successfully had extensions applied and removed there. It is only when a stylist is armed with experience that they will be able to offer the best form of application for your extensions but how do you know if your chosen stylist has the experience necessary to provide you with the best service? Well for one your stylist should be able to show you the certificates that they have received that states they are trained in various methods of application. Also it is a good idea to ask your stylist if you can have a look at a portfolio of past clients who have had their extensions applied and removed there.

So just what are some of the main forms of application when it comes to the type of hair extension you are going to have applied? Listed below are some of the main types of application when it comes to hair extensions:

• Clip in – these are a more temporary method of extensions. They simply clip to your own hair. The way that the clips work is that the hair is sown onto the clips and you are able to buy them in a full head set.
• Weaves – these are tiny braids that hold the extensions against the scalp. There is some concern surrounding these extensions however. This concern is that they add tension and uneven weight to your natural hair
• Bonding – with this method of application there is a latex plug, which attaches your natural hair to the extension. This method of application is considered to be inexpensive. The way these extensions are removed is through the use of oil and heat, which are used to dissolve the bonds.

If you are interested in having hair extensions applied then it is important that you speak to about two or three professionals regarding your specific needs and concerns as well as to get a written estimate of what they would do and how much they would charge you for your extensions.

If you are interested in getting Hair Extensions then speak to Inanch today. We are experts in the application, removal and aftercare of your Hair Extensions.

All the basic knowledge for your Hair Extensions

Over the past few years we have seen a variety of hair trends come and go. In many cases the trends seem to go from one extreme to the other, one season everyone will be sporting full long locks, the next they have had it all chopped off. So what happens when the trends change again and its all about long hair once more; let’s face it no ones hair grows that fast! Well luckily for you there is a little helping hand in the form of hair extensions.

Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock, and Nicole Kidman are just a few famous women who have worn hair extensions in the past few years. Unlike other hair trends however that seem to come then go, hair extensions have actually managed to hang around. Many celebrities are still seen sporting them and salons are seeing an increase in the amount of people that want hair extensions placed in.

There are many reasons that you may decide that you want extensions, one of the main and most obvious ones being when you are waiting for your hair to grow and you use hair extensions as a substitute until it does. Other people use hair extensions to add fullness to their hair and of course you could use hair extensions as a way of adding colour to your hair. Many people are often worried to place bleach or hair dye on their natural hair so hair extensions offer a fun alternative, they allow you to add sections of bold, bright colour without causing any damage to your natural hair.

The possibilities that are open to you when it comes to hair extensions are almost endless. They have so many different uses, meaning you can create a unique look that is perfect for your hair type as well as your face shape. So once you have decided on the type and style of hair extensions that you are going to have applied all that’s left to do is decide on the salon where you are going to have your extensions applied and removed.

You may be thinking that choosing your salon is one of the least important decisions that you are going to have to make but choosing your salon is one of the more important decisions that you will have to make when it comes to getting your extensions.

Hair extensions are only good when they are used on the right hair type and when they are applied by a professional who knows what they are doing. If you decide on the wrong type of extension as well as the wrong method of application then you will not only be left with extensions that don’t look right; you will be left with extensions that could end up causing some serious damage to your natural hair. This is why choosing a salon with experience and professional training is so important as they will be able to advise you on the best method of application and type of extension for your hair type.

It is a good idea to approach a salon that has experience in a range of hair extension application methods this way they will be able to discuss a range of methods with you so that they can find the one that defiantly works best.

Hair Extensions – Simple, effective and guaranteed results!

Whether you are disguising a bad hair cut, giving yourself a confidence boost or changing your style for a special occasion, you can do this with the help of hair extensions. Hair extensions can completely change the way you look and feel about yourself as long as you get them applied and removed by a specialist!

There are many ways that these hair extensions can be applied so the choice of how you have them applied comes down to preference and the reason that you are having them applied in the first place. For example if you are gaining hair extensions for a special occasion such as you only want to wear them for a night out or for a weekend away then you may want to opt for clip in hair extensions as these merely clip to your natural hair and can easily be applied and removed whenever you want to wear them. If you are looking for a more permanent version of hair extensions then your best bet is to have the hair extensions bonded or attached via a weft to your natural hair. Both of these methods of application mean that your hair extensions will last a few months and you will be able to treat them in the same way as your own hair.

There is a lot to consider when you are choosing your extensions. As well as deciding on the best application method you also need to make the decision of whether you want human or synthetic hair. You get a lot more freedom with human and it is the most recommend when it comes to extensions. The only time that I would really recommend that you use synthetic is if you are hoping to have bright bold colours such as pink, blue, green, orange etc as it is safer to have these colours placed in your hair via hair dye because in most cases this would involve bleaching; a process that damages the hair and can only be performed if your hair is in a good condition.

If you are pondering over whether to get hair extensions then all I can say is go for it! As a person who has worn them in the past, I highly recommend them, you will be truly amazed at how much more life they can bring to your hair. Since having mine removed I have missed them, so much in fact that over the weekend I’m going to get some more! The are defiantly worth the time that it takes to have them applied and the amount that you will be paying for them, trust me you won’t be disappointed.

Just make sure that when you do have your hair extensions applied that you go to a specialist to have them applied and removed as your hair will be in safe hands and your stylist will talk you through the whole process as well as the correct aftercare. So get up and get out now to see your stylist and book your appointment to transform your hair!

Inanch are lending experts in the London area when it comes to the Application and Removal of your Hair Extensions, so pay them a visit today!

Hair Extension Q&A – all your queries resolved!

So you have made the decision to have hair extensions applied but what’s next? Well after you have decided to transform your look and boost your confidence with the help of hair extensions it is important that you pay your stylist a visit and book yourself in for a consultation.

A consultation with your stylist should be a process that is free and a no obligation arrangement. If you are going to have extensions applied then I can’t stress enough how important a consultation with your stylist will be when it comes to finalising your decision for extensions. It is during this consultation that all of the important decisions regarding your extensions will be made. It is also the perfect opportunity for you to ask your stylist any questions that you have about what extensions are right for you as well as what is involved in the application and removal process and any aftercare queries that you have. Some of the most common questions that people have when it comes to hair extensions are as follows:

Are human hair extensions suitable for everyone?

• Hair extensions are a cosmetic procedure and should be applied to healthy hair. Your hair also needs to be at least two or three inches in length to provide comfortable attachments.

Are human hair extensions better, if so why?

• Most stylists only use human hair for their hair extensions because it behaves like your own hair. It is a general understanding that human hair extensions are better because they create a more natural look and effect. This means extensions can be professionally coloured, permed, tonged, straightened and blow-dried. They will adapt to any busy lifestyle, which enables you to enjoy everyday leisure time activities. There really are no limits to what you can achieve from your human hair extensions.

Will hair extensions damage my own hair?

• The way in which your extensions are applied is done so in a way that only uses the latest technology and advancements. In most cases your extensions will be attached via bonds. These bonds are made up of a special blend of polymers that imitate the molecular structure of human hair; thus acting as a perfect bridge between the extension and your own hair. If your extensions and the bond are maintained in the recommended way, they will not damage your own hair.

How long will my hair extensions last?

• A By following the easy, but regular care and maintenance programme, your hair extensions can last up to six months. As long as you are careful when it comes to brushing your hair and you use a strong conditioner then you should be fine with the looking after of your extensions.

How should I look after my hair extensions when they're in?

• A By following the guidelines set out on your consultation form and the advice explained to you in detail by your stylist. Also you should be invited to a free maintenance check after about three to four weeks of having your extensions applied.

How much will my hair extensions cost?

• The cost of hair extensions can range from anything between £150 to £1,500. You will be given an exact quote during your consultation with your stylist. The cost does depend on the 'quantity' and the 'length' of hair extensions you choose.

Everything else that may be concerning you or any other information that you require about your extensions as well as the application, removal and aftercare process will be explained to you during your consultation with your stylist.

Make sure that the stylist you opt for to apply your extensions is fully trained and qualified and you should have nothing but a good experience when it comes to getting your extensions applied.

Inanch are experts and fully trained when it comes to all of your Hair Extension needs. So if you are hoping to have Hair Extensions applied then pay them a visit!

Great Lengths – your preference when it comes to Hair Extensions

Great lengths represent one type of hair extension that you can have applied. They are made up from human hair and represent one of the most sought after forms of hair extensions and come as one of the most recommended forms that you can get on the market today.

There are numerous reasons that people decide to have extensions applied. If you want more length, volume, layers or colour added to your hair then extensions are the perfect solution for you. They have advanced in leaps and bounds since they first hit the fashion scene back in the 1980’s and here in 2008 we can now gain hair extensions regardless of our hair type or condition. We can have them matched directly to the colour of our natural hair and they are available in a variety of lengths up to about 28”/30”; the recommended length however is about no more than 26” as anything longer than this can cause too much weight on your natural hair and on your scalp.

Great lengths extensions are available in many sizes and when you visit your stylist for your consultation a colour match will be performed to ensure that you are getting the very best from your extensions. It is also during this crucial consultation that your stylist will help you make your decision about the length of your extensions and the style of them. Also prior to your application your stylist will also determine your suitability for hair extensions. You will also be advised on how to look after your extensions and will be introduced to aftercare products.

Once the right colour, length and style have been chosen, your hair is ordered (for a next day delivery) and your appointment booked for your hair extensions application. So get set and get ready to have your hair completely transformed!

When the day of your appointment arrives, your extensions are prepared for application so they are ready for your arrival. Your hair extensions are then applied close to your root using what is known as the great lengths heat frequency system. When all the hair extensions have been applied, the hair will be cut and styled to complete the look.

Like all forms of hair extensions, great lengths extensions are the perfect way of adding colour, highlights or lowlights. They are also the perfect way of adding length, volume and to create unique styles that can help you achieve a dramatic transformation. They are suitable for use on short, medium or long hair and can add a range of fun twists to your style.

Once you have had your hair extensions applied, the process of caring for them couldn’t be easier! You are able to treat your hair extensions in pretty much the same way that you would treat your own hair; just make sure that when you are brushing your hair you take extra care to not catch or pull on the bonds that are holding your hair extensions in place.

As long as you look after your hair extensions when you have had them applied you should have no problem with them and they should go on to last in a good condition for about four to six months.

Inanch are professionals when it comes to Hair Extensions and work with the popular Great Lengths Hair Extensions, meaning you are getting a quality product with quality service.

If you are looking for a new style, get the latest trend…Hair Extensions

Hair trends come and go and as followers of fashion we all like to keep up with what’s in and what’s out. A hair trend that never seems to get old though is long hair.

It has been said that human hair grows about half an inch per month. So think of it this way, if your hair is at ear level you would have to wait about two years for your hair to be long and flowing down your back! By the time your hair actually reaches this length you will probably have changed your mind and want it cut short to fit in with another celebrity trend. This is where hair extensions can help you.

Believe it or not hair extensions first arrived on the scene back in the 1980’s. They were however soon dismissed as simply being a fad. Sure enough the hair extension trend in the 1980’s soon ended and no one was really that interested in them for years. For quite a few years now however the beauty industry has recognised the demand for instant long and natural looking hair, which is why one of today’s hottest trends when it comes to hair is human hair extensions.

Thanks to the hair extension trend, brought over to the UK by the celebrities, anyone can walk into their salon and have them applied. Also due to the numerous ways in which hair extensions can now be applied you are bound to find a way that is best suited for you.

There are many types of extensions that are available from most salons. The extension that I highly recommend that you have applied however is one known as Great Lengths. These are generally held in place to your natural hair through the use of bonds. These bonds are made from keratin, which is a protein that your natural hair is already partly made up from. These bonds are less harsh than glue and they are less likely to pull on your natural hair.

As well as there being many different types of hair extensions there are also many ways in which the hair that is used for the extensions is sourced. For example the hair that is used to make up the Great Lengths extensions is sourced from the Tirumala Temple in Andhra Pradesh, India, which is a popular pilgrimage site. At this temple pilgrims traditionally cut their hair to remove any symbol of ego and vanity as part of their devotion to God. This is one of the more ethical ways in which hair extensions are sources, so not only do you get the best hair, you get it in the best way.

Great Lengths use 100% human hair, where other brands of hair extensions use only 25%. Great lengths stand as an example of how far hair extensions have come since they first hit the beauty scene in the 1980’s. They are one of the most undetectable forms of extensions and one of the best available on the market today. If you are planning on having hair extensions applied, I recommend nothing less than Great Lengths, and you won’t be disappointed!

Inanch are one of the leading London salons when it comes to the application and removal of Hair Extensions. So pay them a visit today and get the hair you have always dreamed of!

Change your style with Hair Extensions

All of us like a change every now and again. This may be to keep up with the latest trends, to inspire confidence or to create a new look. There are many ways that you can go about doing these things such as changing your style of clothes. One other way that you can change the way you not only feel about yourself but the way you look is through a new hairstyle and one style that remains popular is hair extensions.

There are many different types of hair extensions available and many ways that you can have these extensions applied and as long as you look after these extensions in the correct way they will last you several months.

When you say hair extensions to most people they have images and thoughts of damaged hair as the result of them. This is a fiction about hair extensions that needs to be laid to rest. Hair extensions are perfectly safe and will cause no damage to your natural hair as long as you have them applied by a professional and taken out by a professional. They are the best way to add length, volume and colour to your hair; they allow you to experiment with your hair and create a look that is unique and best suited to you.

The best type of hair extension that is available on the market today is known as Great Lengths hair extensions. These are used by the top celebrities and are some of the most top quality hair extensions that are available. If you do opt to use Great Lengths when you are getting your hair extensions then they will more than likely be applied to your hair using bonds. In this case sections of hair, which are usually about ½ centimetres wide are placed onto your hair and the bond is then wrapped around it and heated up using specialist heating irons. The whole process takes about four hours, but this really depends on how long you want your hair and how much volume you want to add to your hair.

The power of the Brazilian Keratin Treatment

Japanese straightening, known as thermal recovery, and relaxers are yesterday’s news! There’s now just one treatment that you need to know; that treatment is the Brazilian Keratin Treatment.

Curly hair, unruly hair, extremely damaged hair and frizz prone hair represent just a few examples of the hair types that can be helped with the Brazilian Keratin Treatment. No longer will you have to suffer those stressful bad hair days. No longer will you be a slave to your straightening irons; not with the help of the Brazilian Keratin Treatment. Just two hours minimum is what it takes to get you the hair that you have always dreamed about.

The Brazilian Keratin Treatment is a curl relaxer that has already taken the United States by storm in recent months and now it looks like it is going to do the same to the UK. Now in the UK many salons have the Brazilian Keratin Treatment as part of there service list.

One of the main reasons why the Brazilian Keratin Treatment is so popular is because of its main selling point, which is the fact that it doesn’t use any harsh chemicals. It doesn’t use the two main chemicals that are found in most relaxers and straightening recovery systems, which are sodium hydroxide and ammonium thioglycolate. These harsh chemicals can often cause damage and breakage.

Instead of using harsh chemicals, such as the two named above, the Brazilian Keratin Treatment has an active ingredient of keratin. This is a protein, which is similar to a component found in human hair, which naturally straightens the hair. The Brazilian Keratin Treatment works best on hair that’s been coloured, highlighted or chemically treated. Also every time you have the Brazilian Keratin Treatment applied it actually helps to improve the condition of your hair.

When you are having the Brazilian Keratin Treatment applied your stylist will apply a solution that is made from keratin. Once this has been applied a 450 degree iron will be used to seal the treatment to your hair. The solution then sticks to the cuticle’s rough edges, trapping moisture and hydrating the hair.

The Brazilian Keratin Treatment comes highly recommended. If you are looking into a straightening treatment and are unsure of which one to opt for then the Brazilian Keratin Treatment is defiantly the one that you should go for!

Thinking of a new style? Hair Extensions are your answer

Hair extensions can be worn by pretty much anyone. They are the perfect way to dramatically improve your look and change the way you feel about yourself. They can give you more confidence and complete your look, but with so many options on the market today, which ones do you opt for?

There are two forms of hair extensions; synthetic and human hair. The differences between the two of these are extremely vast. The first difference is the price as synthetic hair extensions are generally less expensive than human hair and they are available in a range of colours and textures. Human hair on the other hand is available in what is known as different grades and is usually advertised by ethnic origin. India, China and other Asian countries are the top suppliers for 'virgin’ or unprocessed hair. Eastern European countries are the source of 'Caucasian' hair.

There are many different types of human hair extensions available such as the following:

• Yaki - Bone straight, usually mimicking the straightness of Asian hair
• European - More natural-looking straight hair. May have a tiny amount of wave
• Deep Wave - While generally not a true 'wave,’ it can be made to look like spiral curls
• Loose Deep Wave or Romance Wave - Looser version of the deep wave, softer, more romantic curls
• Wet and Wavy - Can be packaged as Spanish Wave or Indian Wave. Usually human hair is used, and is either naturally curly or permanently waved to appear so. Characterised as having soft, natural-looking curls that revert back to a curly state when wet.

When you are getting hair extensions it is generally advised to opt for the human hair version. One of the main reasons for this is the fact that synthetic hair extensions are really hard to manage. With synthetic hair extensions you can’t really style them and you can’t wash them in the same way as you would your normal hair. With human hair extensions they can be treated as real hair. You are able to wash your hair in the same way and you are free to blow dry and straighten your hair extensions. The only thing I would say is do these things in a more gentle way than you normally do.

As synthetic hair is pretty much made up of plastic it is important that you don’t style your extensions using heat as this would simply melt your extensions. If your hair extensions are made up of a mixture of synthetic hair and human hair then they should be treated extremely gently when it comes to using heat styling.

If you are thinking about having hair extensions applied then it is important that you only approach a salon with past experience in dealing with the application and removal of hair extensions. You should speak to your stylist about the process of having hair extensions applied so that you know exactly what is involved.

For more information about having hair extensions applied get in touch with your stylist today.
Inanch are experts when it comes to the application and removal of Hair Extensions, so for all of your hair extension needs, get in touch with them today.

Get the Brazilian Keratin Treatment today and say goodbye to unruly hair!

Unfortunately many of us aren’t blessed with perfectly straight hair and as a result we end up in a daily battle with our hair in order to get the straight, silky desired look that we have always wanted. Well for you ladies out there suffering bad hair day, there is finally an answer. This answer comes in the form of the Brazilian Keratin Treatment.

The Brazilian Keratin Treatment is setting the standard for straight hair not only in the UK but all across the globe. So all you girls out there suffering curly, kinky and generally unruly hair there is finally a solution to give you the straight and smooth hair that you have been after for as long as you can remember. So what exactly makes this treatment any different to the straightening solutions that are already on the market today?

The Brazilian Keratin Treatment is different from your straightening treatments and relaxers that are currently available. For one the Brazilian Keratin Treatment is neither of these things! The Brazilian Keratin Treatment is a temporary straightening treatment that lasts an average of between two and four months, depending on how often you wash your hair. The most amazing thing about the Brazilian Keratin Treatment however is the fact that the Brazilian Keratin Treatment actually improves the condition of your hair as it straightens it.

The treatment originated in Brazil and you will often hear it being referred to as "escova progressiva" or Progressive Blow Dry. The reason that this treatment is not classed as a straightener or a relaxer is due to the fact that both of these use harsh chemicals that change the texture of your hair, making the Brazilian Keratin Treatment a truly revolutionary treatment that softens, smoothes and gives you an end result of perfectly straight, smooth and healthier hair.

Although no treatment to your hair will re-create the hair fibre, it will fill in the damaged area of your hair. It is the filling in of the damaged area of your hair that makes your hair feel silky again. As the Brazilian Keratin Treatment helps to repair your hair when it straightens it; every time you get the treatment performed on your hair your hair will appear straighter each time it is done.

Another feature of the Brazilian Keratin Treatment that makes it stand out from other forms of straightening is the fact that this treatment actually works better on hair that is damaged. So if your hair is in bad condition, if you regularly dye it or if you have bleached it you are free to have the Brazilian Keratin Treatment performed on your hair. Most other straightening treatments or relaxers can’t be used on hair that is damaged or hair that was recently been dyed.

The Brazilian Keratin Treatment takes about two hours to apply to your hair but the actual length of time it takes to have the treatment performed depends on the length and thickness of your hair. Within the straightening process a solution made with active keratin, which is a protein similar to a component of your hair, is applied and then a special straightening iron is used to seal this formula onto the outside layer of the cuticle. The formula bonds to the cuticle's rough edges, trapping the moisture,
hydrating the hair, and creating a glossy veneer.

If you would like to have the Brazilian Keratin Treatment applied to your hair it is essential that you only approach a stylist who is professionally trained in applying the solution and that you only have the process performed in a salon who are experienced in doing it.

For all of your Brazilian Keratin Treatment needs get in touch with Inanch today.

Wrong!

There is a new revolutionary treatment now available, which is known as the Brazilian Keratin Treatment, which is designed to straighten your hair in a way that has never been seen before; this is because it actually improves the condition of your hair as it straightens it! Sound too good to be true? Well you better start believing because this treatment is here to stay.

The Brazilian Keratin Treatment is also amazing due to the fact that it can be used on any hair type, basically anyone who has hair can benefit from the Brazilian Keratin Treatment and you will be left with soft and manageable hair.

The Brazilian Keratin Treatment price ranges depending on the length texture and density of your hair but however long or thick your locks are trust me this won’t break the bank!

How else do you think all of these celebrities are walking around with their gorgeous hair? Yes you got it, thanks to the Brazilian Keratin Treatment. This treatment is the latest trend to hit the celebrities but thankfully this is one trend that the celebrities aren’t keeping to themselves and the Brazilian Keratin Treatment is available at several salons throughout the UK.

As previously mentioned, one of the main reasons that the Brazilian Keratin Treatment is so effective is down to the fact that the treatment actually helps to improve the condition of your hair, one reason for this is the fact that this straightening system doesn’t use any strong chemicals in order to open and close the hair cuticle when straightening the hair.

As an alternative to using strong chemicals the Brazilian Keratin Treatment uses keratin, obviously from the name. This use of Keratin is so much better than using chemicals due to the fact that your hair is already made up of about 88% keratin so the keratin used with the Brazilian treatment penetrates the hair repairing internal damage and coats the hair preventing further damage.

So if you are seeking the next best thing when it comes to hair straightening you need the help of the Brazilian Keratin Treatment.

Inanch are experts in the Brazilian Keratin Treatment so for all your hair straightening needs get in touch with Inanch today.

The great thing about this treatment is that its main component is keratin. Keratin is an extremely strong protein which is a major component in skin hair nails and teeth. • Straightens for 3 months

So what’s involved?

At the hair salon you will have your hair shampooed but they will not condition it. Your hair will then be segregated into neat sections. Next the keratin based solution will be added to the scalp and then combed through completely to the ends of your hair. Once the solution has been applied to all of your hair it will be blow dried. Once completely dry you will have the hair spilt into sections again and with the use of hot straightening irons, your hair will be straightened.

The Brazilian Keratin Straightening Treatment is well worth the investment for the shine it gives your hair, the manageability factor, the conditioning it gives your hair and the overall look of your hair after the treatment.

There are plenty of hair salons that offer this treatment and thanks to the internet finding a salon near you is easy. Just Google your town with the treatment you are after and see what the search brings up. Those living in London will find lots of salons offering hair straightening treatments so your best bet is to look for reviews.

Beauty Salon- 12 Tips They Don't Want You To Know

Hair Care Professional- Breaking One In

Beauty Salon- It is so important for us to find the right beauty salon so that we can have the right look at the right time. However, there are certain things that beauty salon owners don't want you to know.

According to the September 13, 2005 issue of the LA Times, soon after Hurricane Katrina passed through the states of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama beauty salons with power and water reopened. Women who had lost EVERYTHING flocked to those open beauty salons. They wanted to look good even though they did not have a place to live. They wanted and needed professional hair care.

This fact alone confirms your intuition about the absolute necessity of finding the right beauty salon. This holds true for a beauty salon Los Angeles or a beauty salon Long Beach, Mississippi.

Let me give you some general guidelines and tips to use when you are looking for a new beauty salon. I will also include some helpful suggestions about how to deal with your hair stylist.

1. How far is the beauty salon from your home or work? Is it convenient to either or both?

2. Telephone the salon. Ask if their hair care stylists have experience with your type of hair. For example, is your hair long, curly, textured or exposed to frequent changes to hair color, heat and the elements?

3. Search the Internet for reviews of beauty salons in your work or home zip codes.

4. It seems obvious, but it's crucial: Who do you know whose hair looks fabulous? Ask them where (and to whom) they go.

5. When you get to the beauty salon what does the atmosphere FEEL like to you? Is it peaceful or stressful? Which do you prefer?

6. Are you greeted right away or are you forced to wander around or "twiddle your thumbs" until someone attends to you?

7. If you've made an appointment is it kept?

8. Is the beauty salon clean and well organized? Does everything seem to be in its place?

9. How is the staff dressed? Are they dressed appropriately to your taste?

10. What does the hair of the staff look like to you? Is the hair of the staff professionally done or is it sloppy?

Ok, you've decided that the beauty salon environment is satisfactory, now how do you deal with the hair stylist?

11. Collect and bring pictures that are appropriate for your type of hair. The biggest beauty salon hair disasters occur when your hair stylist doesn't understand what you want. Pictures help convey your message.

12. Don't immediately go for a cut, take it slower. Book a blow-dry with your selected stylist. Ask, if you were to cut my hair, how would you do it? Once you've set aside the time for a real consultation, here are some key questions to ask yourself as you talk to your stylist:

DO YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE with the hair care stylist? You should like his or her sense of style. This means clothing, grooming, personality, everything.

IS THE STYLIST ASKING YOU questions, giving ideas and suggestions that relate to your personality, rather than pointing to a style on the wall or in a book?

IS THE HAIR CARE STYLIST ADDRESSING the health of your hair, not just proposing to cut off split ends? The two of you should be talking about conditioners and rinses that enhance shine and bounce, and special treatments that can prevent or repair damage done by the environment, such as pollution, sun, chlorine, humidity, or dry air.

ONCE YOU'VE AGREED ON A LOOK, does the stylist preview how you'll need to blow it dry, wash it, and maintain it? These are all things to think about before actually getting the cut.

If you can answer most of the questions to your satisfaction, then you've probably found a beauty salon and a hair stylist that will make you look fabulous. If you cannot, then move on to the next beauty salon on your list.

Take the above tips with you when you come to Next Salon in Santa Monica, CA. We think that you'll find that you came to the right beauty salon.

Want to know what’s setting the standard for straight hair?

If you have unruly, curly or frizzy hair and you want silky smooth locks then I think I have found you a solution; a solution that will not only straighten your hair, it will do it without causing any damage to your hair, in fact it will actually improve the condition of your hair. So what is this revolutionary treatment?

The Brazilian keratin treatment is the safe solution that you have been waiting for when it comes to getting the silky smooth hair that you desire. The reason that the Brazilian keratin treatment is so effective on your hair is because 88% of your hair is already comprised of keratin.

The Brazilian keratin treatment originated, obviously in Brazil and is commonly called escova progressiva or progressive blow dry. This treatment can neither be classed as a relaxer or a straightener, this is because both of these use harsh chemicals that are designed to change the texture of your hair whereas the Brazilian keratin treatment doesn’t use chemicals as the main ingredient is the protein keratin. It is a revolutionary treatment that softens, smoothens, and gives you straight hair.

If you are considering having the Brazilian keratin treatment performed on your hair then it is a good idea to have a consultation where you will be able to learn about the product and the process by which it is applied to your hair. You should speak to your stylist about what the treatment will do to your hair. This consultation should be used to find out as much as you can about the Brazilian keratin treatment before you have the process applied to your hair.

It is not a chemical that restructures the hair. It is a replenishing treatment that reconditions and protects the hair from water and heat damage while enhancing its natural shine. The Brazilian hair treatment is excellent on all types of hair; in fact the more damaged your hair is the better the treatment will work. The treatment will actually make your hair healthier.

The Brazilian Keratin Treatment doesn’t break the bonds of your hair shaft the way that a relaxer would and it doesn’t use strong chemicals to open the cuticle in an effort to straighten the hair. The Brazilian Keratin Treatment penetrates the hair repairing internal damage and coats the hair Preventing further damage. The results are soft, straight hair with body and movement.

So far you may be thinking that this sounds too good to be true but I guarantee that this is one of the best hair straightening treatments available. There are a few aspects of the treatment that you should however be aware of, one of these aspects is that you can’t wash or condition your hair with products that contain Sodium Chloride as this will strip the keratin and in effect the treatment will fade quickly. A few other aspects that you should be aware of when it comes to the Brazilian Keratin treatment are as follows:

• Don’t tie your hair up for 4 days after the treatment
• Don’t get your hair wet for 4 days after having the treatment
• Don’t wash your hair for 4 days after having the treatment applied

When you are thinking about having the Brazilian keratin treatment applied you need to make sure that you research into the treatment itself but you also need to make sure that the salon you are having the treatment applied at is fully trained and experienced in carrying out the procedure.

Helen is the web master of Inanch, who are specialists in all aspects of performing the Brazilian Keratin Treatment.

The Brazilian keratin treatment has the power to transform your hair in its entirety

The Brazilian keratin treatment actually straightens your hair without causing any damage to it; in fact it helps the hair to repair. Once you have used the Brazilian keratin treatment I think you will find you never look back.

No hair straightening process leaves such amazing results on your hair; it doesn’t damage your hair or change its texture. The Brazilian keratin treatment is however a semi permanent treatment and will need to be redone about every two to four months as the treatment fades every time you wash your hair but there is a good side to this fact, which is that every time you have the treatment done on your hair it will actually improve the condition of your hair further.

The Brazilian keratin treatment can be used on all hair types, regardless of whether you dye your hair or have recently used another straightening treatment; all of this is perfectly fine; in fact the worse condition that your hair is in the better the treatment will work. So just what makes the Brazilian keratin treatment so effective?

The Brazilian keratin treatment uses a liquid form of keratin, which is a protein that makes up most of your actual hair; this protein penetrates the hair shaft, which softens and adds shine from the inside of the hair and it also seals the hair cuticle on the outside.

The application process for the Brazilian keratin treatment can last anywhere from one and a half hours to four hours, but in most cases it will be more towards the four hour scale. The length it takes to apply the Brazilian keratin treatment to your hair generally just depends on the length and thickness of your hair. When the treatment has been applied to your hair it is sealed with a hot iron, which is used to trap moisture and in effect hydrates the hair, which creates a glossy finish. The results of the Brazilian keratin treatment are visible immediately after the treatment has been completed, leaving your hair instantly healthy and youthful and leaving you amazed at the results.

The keratin that is used within the Brazilian keratin treatment smoothes out your hair, making it easier to manage. It is a new and exciting way that you can have your hair straightened and it is quickly becoming one of the latest hair trends among many celebrities. It is also thanks to the celebrities that the Brazilian keratin treatment is now available in many salons across the UK.

The Brazilian keratin treatment means that taking care of your hair after the treatment has been applied is effortless and the amount of time that is required to style your hair will decrease dramatically; in many instances all you need to do is wash it and then your free to go! As the treatment begins to fail you will have to start blow drying and styling your hair but only with minimum effort.

This treatment restores hair resiliency, which means that humidity, rain or sweat will no longer affect the hairstyle so you won’t suffer any more frizzy hair days!

Still not convinced? Just take a look around the Internet and you will soon start to see the benefits of having the Brazilian keratin treatment applied.

Brazilian Hair Straightening Treatment from Inanch

Brazilian Hair Straightening is a more natural, cheaper and less labour intensive process than the Japanese Hair Straightening Process. Brazilian Hair Straightening treatment uses keratin which is a natural protein which helps to soften and smooth and of course straighten hair. This type of Hair Straightening System is also known as the Brazilian Keratin Treatment.

Brazilian Hair Straightening is a new and revolutionary treatment as it does not use the strong chemicals to open and close the hair cuticle in order to straighten it which in turn weakens the bones of the hair shaft. Because the Brazilian Hair Straightening system uses this natural substance of Keratin which actually penetrates the hair preventing damage.

So what is Keratin?

Keratin is a very strong protein which is a major component in hair (88%), skin, nails, hooves, horns and teeth. Ketarin is formed from living cells (keratinocytes) which make up a large part of skin, hair, nails, horns and teeth. These cells push upward which eventually form a protective layer of cells. Damage to the external layer of keratin can cause skin, hair, and nails to look unhealthy or flaky. Generally the thicker the layer of keratin is the healthier the hair or nail is. This is because the dead cells outside protecting the living cells at the core.

Brazilian Hair Straightening is suitable for all types of hair including coloured, highlighted, curly and wavy hair.

How long does Brazilian Hair straightening last?

Brazilian Hair Straightening lasts for 3- 4 months which is quite a long time compared to other systems of hair straightening.

So if your hair is unruly, curly or frizzy but would love to have straight and shiny hassle free hair without the use of harsh chemicals then the Brazilian Hair Straightening system is just what you are looking for.

Contact Inanch today and book an appointment for your Brazilian Hair straightening consultation.

What is a Brazilian Keratin Treatment?

If you have curly hair, the Brazilian Hair Straightening is the perfect solution for you. It has Keratin in it, which makes the Brazilian Hair Straightening one of the best ways to straighten your hair.

This is a very effective hair straightening solution. It makes the natural negative ions help form micro articles from the water molecules. This enables the solution to get inside the hair shaft, and that too, without doing any harm to the hair.

The reason why the Brazilian Hair Straightening is a better option than the Japanese straightener is that the latter has a high alkaline content that has the potential to harm the structure of your hair.

The effects of this lasts for approximately three to four months, after which your hair looks like before.

This product works wonders on curly and wavy hair. In fact, the Brazilian Hair Straightening gives you the option of choosing a color for your hair during straightening. Moreover, there is no hassle about hair breakage because this product is for temporary action. The chemical does not affect the internal construct of your hair. It only works on the cuticle and does not get into the cortex, thereby enabling great action by the keratin.

If you are still wondering whether to try the treatment or not, here a more reasons why you should give it a try:

The application is hassle free and it saves a lot of your time.
The product is safe and does not harm your hair, even if a chemical has treated it previously.

It gives the user beautiful straight hair.

Given below is a simple application process:

Shampoo the customers hair but do not apply any conditioner because the product itself consists of keratin.
Segregate the hair into four neat sections.
The solution is to be applied at the scalp and then comb it well so that the solution spreads throughout.
After one section has been done, clip it and go on to the next section.
When the product has been applied to every part of your head, then blow-dry your hair, beginning from the nape.
The last step consists of flat ironing the four subsections properly.

Chocolate Deep Conditioning

This treatment is ideal for the client who wants strong and healthy hair. Here is how to do it:

The product is a shampoo that contains keratin. It is free from chemicals like sodium chloride.
Wet the hair and then put the solution on the scalp. For about five minutes, gently massage the head and then wash with warm water.
After the wash, put a mask on the saturated hair and blow dry for ten minutes. Following the drying, wash the mask away with warm water.
Anti-Frizz lotion- to get the right style for the client, apply a small amount of this solution to wet hair and create the style that the client likes.
At last, when all is done, put the finishing touch with a little bit of serum in the hair.

This treatment is well worth the investment for the shine, the ease, and the look of your after the beautiful treatment.

Brazilian hair straightening is rapidly becoming wide spread, moving from its home in brazil salons are adopting the techniques far and wide. The technique is known as Escova Progressiva or in English translation progressive blowdry. How does the technique work and what are the benefits of using for your hair.

The basic concept is the heat is used to seal in the hair cuticle with keratin, for those who are not aware keratin is the natural protein that is found in human hair. What are the benefits of this for your hair? Do you have wavy, curly or kinky hair, well this new technique is now all the rage with the celebrities. The process is said to take around 2 hours and the results are set to transform your hair and straighten your hair, want to hear the best part......for up to 4 months! No need for endless revisits to the salon your hair is straight and stays straight.

The technique used does not use chemicals to open the hair cuticle to achieve the results; the process uses keratin which is a protein that is found in your hair naturally, keratin is the protein that will make your hair tough, elastic and durable. If you want to have straight hair then you need to have keratin. The technique is a natural treatment and once it has worn off there will be no chemical imbalance and your hair will be back to the original state. The general process will allow the natural negative irons that are produced to break down the water molecule clusters into micro particles which in turn will allow the mixture to penetrate deep into the hair shaft and begin the straightening process naturally. The process can cost anywhere between two hundred to three hundred dollars and this will depend on the type of hair you have and the length of the hair.

The Brazilian Hair Straightening process is fine for anybody to have and any hair type, there are a number of precautionary steps that you can take to make sure you get the best possible results. Firstly make sure you keep your hair down for at least the first four days after you have had the procedure done. If you do get your hair wet within the first four days even though it Is not recommended then make sure you dry the hair as quickly as possible with a blow dryer. Keep the hair away from your face as much as possible to avoid damage. After you have undergone the process then you may want to wait a few days, normally recommended 4 days until you undertake some certain activities in order that you do not affect the results. Some things that you should avoid include, washing your hair, using hair clips, putting your hair up or into pony tails, excessive exercise or sweating, hair bands or any types of gel, moose or sprays. Of course you could do any of these activities but this could effect how long the procedure lasts on your hair.

5 Insider Beauty Secrets Other Women Don't Want You To Know! Part 1

Imagine what you would do if you knew miracle working
beauty secrets. And if you had the self confidence that comes
with being beautiful.

Now before you laugh and say you'll never be beautiful, listen
up.

I know where you're coming from! At one time I didn't know any
beauty secrets. Before I learned any beauty secrets I was plain, even
bordering on ugly.

I had acne, chapped lips, weight issues, wardrobe disasters, and not
so white teeth. But thats all become past with the 5 beauty secrets
that have changed my life.

But I pulled through them all and learned some valuable beauty
secrets as a result.

Now people are always commenting to me on my beauty. Saying I should
be a model, etc.... And guys are no longer even an issue! I don't
have to look for them, they come to me.

It turns out the best beauty secrets are those that are won by
personal knowledge and experience. Not just by reading general tips
in magazines.

So by experimentation over the years and by perseverance, I've found
out what really works and what doesn't.

Beauty Secret 1

Unchap/beautify your lips with this trick.

For soft, beautifully kissable lips, you need the
following: a washcloth (I'm not kidding either), warm water, and your
favorite brand of lip balm.

First you apply a coat of lip balm. Then wet one corner of the
washcloth, put the warm wet corner of the washcloth between your
lips, press them together and hold for 5 seconds.

Then gently massage any remaining lip balm from lips with the wet
corner of washcloth, and dry lips with a corner thats dry.

Apply lip balm again to keep your lips chap free. You may also apply
lipstick or lip gloss on over the layer of lip balm.

I learned this was the best way to keep lips from chapping, after
going through too many winters with dried, and chapped lips.

Beauty Secret 2

Clear your acne, and get beautiful skin.

For clear glowing skin, a little home remedy does wonders for my
complexion, as it should with yours too.

Steam your face for 20 minutes every night after washing it, then
every other night after steaming your face, massage a half teaspoon
castor oil over face.

Leave it on at night while you sleep and wash off immediately
upon waking. Steam face for twenty more minutes in the morning after
washing. When you finish steaming your face splash your face with
cool water and dry it.

If your skin starts to show any signs of a pimple forming. Take one
night off from steaming and applying castor oil and apply Benzoyl
Peroxide over face.

Take the next night off also from the steaming, castor oil, and
benzoyl peroxide. Continue facial regimen with steaming and castor
oil the following night.

This beauty secret will moisturize your face at the same time it will
help clear up acne and pimples. But only if you work at it
consistently.

Beauty Secret 3

Good taste in clothes.

When shopping for clothes try to stay away from really big
prints, or weird mixes of colors (eg. green, pink and blue flowers
combined on a white background, for instance).

Clothes like these just scream "I'm color blind!" And if you
in fact, actually are color blind, always shop with a friend who
isn't and has good taste in clothes.

Buy basic colors. Solid reds, pinks, blues, whites, and blacks. Or
things with small tasteful prints and designs.

Then mix and match each basic color with a corresponding one (blue
goes well with white, pink, and sometimes with red, and different
shades of the same color almost always go well together).

Put these beauty secrets to use, and start seeing the benefits today.
Be sure to read Part 2 of this article, which contains the
last 2 beauty secrets.

In Part 2 I'll teach you the beauty secrets for whitening your
smile without draining your bank account. And how to use clothes to
your advantage by hiding figure flaws and defects.

Top 10 Tips For Hair care

Hair is composed of protein which in turn is made up of fibres. The main protein in hair is called keratin. Everyone’s hair is composed of different textures, shapes, styles and qualities. To decide out what product to use, it is important to determine your hair type. Once this is done, you will be able to incorporate a suitable hair care product into your daily beauty regime. The following tips for hair care, if followed, will give you nourished, manageable and beautiful hair.

Tip 1: Be Gentle with your hair
The first tip, is to be delicate with your hair. Your hair is the most fragile when it is wet or moist. Rigorous scrubbing or washing of your hair and scalp causes the majority of hair damage. Wash your hair gently, section by section in an orderly fashion. This will enable you to wash it thoroughly without damage or breakage.

Tip 2: Less is more
The 2nd tip is to avoid over washing your hair. Over washing your hair will strip the natural oils that protect and nourish the scalp and hair. Washing your hair every 2 to 3 days is usually sufficient. However, there are some types of hair that need more frequent cleaning, Korres’ range of products are gentle enough to use everyday.

Tip 3: You are what you eat
Tip number 3 is something that a lot of people fail to do. This will not just give healthy hair but will benefit your whole body. Tip number 3 is ensuring you eat a healthy balanced diet. A healthy diet will provide the nutrients and vitamins to essential to nourish your hair and prevent split ends, dandruff, or hair loss. Most of all, it keeps your hair shiny and helps it retain the moisture needed by your hair.

Tip 4: Avoid sun damage
Tip number 4 requires you to take the necessary steps to avoid UV ray exposure. UV dries out your hair strands leaving it looking lifeless and dull. When you go out in the sun or to the beach, wear a hat or a bandana to protect your hair from harmful UV rays.

Tip 5: Minimise damage
The 5th tip is making sure you deep condition your hair after colouring or using heat styling products. Many women do not realise the damage caused by hair dye or heat styling. It can cause hair loss, as it strips the hair of its healthy nutrients and vitamins. It can take a long time to rebuild and repair damaged hair.

Deep conditioning re-bonds damaged hair and revitalises chemically coloured hair follicles.

Tip 6: Dry with care
Tip number 6 is to be careful with that hair dryer. The recommended distance between dryer and hair is 24 inches. Do not apply it directly on the hair as this will increase the damage done by the heat. The best option is to let it air dry naturally.

Tip 7: Have a trim
The 7th tip is to get your hair trimmed regularly. Getting your hair trimmed regularly will snip off any split ends cropping up and will promote healthy growth for your hair. Loose strands and split ends can make you look unkempt and messy.

Tip 8: Get manageable
Tip 8 is to use a light gel or mousse to keep those unmanageable strands in place to give you a clean pleasant hair style.

Tip 9: Let your hair relax
Tip 9 is to let your hair relax from time to time. This means letting it breathe by not using any styling products or tying it up in a ponytail. You should avoid hair clips also.

Tip 10: Healthy scalp, healthy hair
Tip 10 is to look after your scalp and your scalp will look after your hair. For example a head massage once a month will work wonders for your hair. A head massage stimulates your roots and improves circulation to the scalp. This promotes healthy hair growth.

It can be difficult to fit proper hair care into a busy day but these tips only take a few minutes but will make the world of difference. Choosing the right product for your hair is the first step, but that is not enough to make sure your hair is as beautiful and manageable as you want it to be.

Why are Hair Extensions so popular? Read on

The art of having hair extensions applied has thankfully come along way and advanced greatly since they first appeared back in the 1980’s. They are a lot safer and are now available in pretty much any style or application method that you want.

The results of having hair extensions applied now last anywhere between six to eight months with proper care and maintenance. They can also be cut and styled in anyway that you want, meaning they will always match your natural hair. As well as giving you more freedom, modern hair extensions now also give you more choice; they are not just applied to give your hair added length, they are also applied to give you added volume, texture and layers. Hair extensions can also be used to add colour to your hair. Many people don’t like the idea of applying colour to their natural hair so using hair extensions to add colour seems like the perfect solution. This doesn’t mean that you have to add extensions to all of your hair; it merely means you could have a few strands of extensions applied that are a different colour.

Your probably left thinking there is a lot to decide on when it comes to getting hair extensions and your not wrong. There are many decisions that need to made when it comes to choosing your hair extensions to make sure that you are getting what you want out of them and, more importantly, to make sure that your natural hair isn’t under pressure from your extensions. You need to make sure that you hair is in a good condition to have the extensions applied and one of the decisions that is key to making sure your hair stays in good condition is ensuring that the length of your extensions don’t add to much weight to your natural hair.

Most people have their hair extensions applied in an average length of 14 to 18 inches. It is advised that you don’t have extensions above a length of about 22 or 24 inches as the added weight from extensions longer than this could cause damage to your natural hair. The most popular length of extension is about 18 inches.

It seems that every year hair extensions are growing in popularity and they act as a great addition for people who want to change their style to get the hairstyle that they have wanted for a long time. Some of the top reasons why most people want hair extensions added to their natural hair are as follows:

• If you have always wanted longer or thicker hair then hair extensions add instant length, volume or thickness to their hair
• They can be used to cover up a really bad hair cut, especially if you have had your hair cut short and now hate it
• Adds bold or subtle highlights to your hair without chemical processing
• Can give you a new look for a special occasion, i.e. wedding, prom, formal event
• Or maybe you want them just for fun! Some people like to experiment with their hair styles and hair extensions offer you an instant new look

Whatever your reason for wanting the addition of hair extensions it is important that you speak to your stylist about the best method of application for your hair type.

Wedding Hairstyles – All you need to know about choosing the right one

If you think about it fully choosing a hair style isn’t exactly rocket science; its not the most tasking of decisions that you will have to make….so why when it comes to choosing a wedding hair style is it so hard to make a decision?

The two most important aspects of a wedding from a woman’s point of view are her dress and hair style. On your wedding day you want to look like you have stepped out of a magazine so everything has to be perfect. This is why it is so important to make sure aspects such as your wedding hair style are decided on well in advance of your big day to ensure that everything goes smoothly.

Choosing your wedding day style may take a lot of thinking but don’t worry there is plenty of help available. The most important thing to remember when you are choosing your style for big day is to stay true to yourself. What I mean by this is choosing a style that best reflects who you are and that is most suited to you. You need a style that will flatter and bring out your features as well as one that will match your dress and accessories. You need to make sure that your style suits who you are as you wouldn’t want to completely change your style for one of the most important days of your life.

As soon as you start to think its time to sort out my wedding hair style the first thing that you should do before anything else is to get yourself an appointment with a stylist. By doing this you can book several appointments leading up to the big day and it also means that you can book the actual day of your wedding to have your hair done, this ensures that you have enough time to find a style as well as a few test runs of your style so that when it comes to your wedding you know exactly what your hair will look like and more importantly your stylist will know how long it takes to do it and the exact method to use to make sure that your style stays in and looking good all day.

Once you have your appointment booked you can start to think about the type of styles you like and the ones you don’t. By doing this you are eliminating certain options and you are left with styles that have potential; not all of these styles may suit you but that’s where your stylist comes in.

There are countless options open to you when it comes to choosing your wedding hair style. To help you choose your style it is always a good idea if possible to take pictures of your wedding dress, flowers and any accessories with you to the stylist so they can make sure that everything coordinates in the correct manner.

Your stylist will be the most help to you when it comes to your wedding hair style but it is a good idea to take a close family member or friend with you so that you can get an array of opinions on what your hair style looks like.

Choosing your style is the hardest part, so when it actually comes to having the style applied just sit back and relax then go and enjoy your big day.

Whether you have recently had your hair cut short or you just feel like a change; growing your hair can be a timely process but luckily for you that wait can be made all the better through the use of Hair Extensions.

There are so many different styles of hair out today that many of us don’t really know where to begin when looking for the perfect one but one thing is for sure Hair Extension are starting to overtake all other styles as being the most wanted. Hair Extensions have many uses and are now finally fully available to members of the general public; they are not just confined to celebrity land anymore! Since their arrival back in the 1980’s they have advanced and in the society that we live in today there are now more ways than ever of having Hair Extensions applied.

The one thing that is for sure when it comes to having your Hair Extensions applied, which is that quality is paramount so when you come to having Hair Extensions applied you need to find a process of application that is most suited to you as well as what type of Hair Extension you have applied.

The two main types of Hair Extensions that are available to you are human hair extensions and synthetic. Both of these types are acceptable to be used when it comes to getting hair extensions; however it is more advised to opt for human hair. Even though this is more expensive than synthetic the extra bit that you are paying is worth it as you are able to style human hair more and the quality of it is a lot better. The quality of human hair extensions are more like your natural hair when it comes to the look and feel.

You should put a lot of time and effort into deciding on all aspects of your extensions, which includes the type, colour and method of application that you want for your extensions. All of these types of decisions should be made based on your hair type and what overall style you want to achieve. Once you have made all of these vital decisions you are able to approach your stylist and have your extensions applied. If you are having professionally placed Hair Extensions it will take about four hours to have them applied.

The important decisions about your Hair Extensions don’t just stop once they have been applied; you still need to make sure that you are aware of how to correctly take care of them after they have been placed in. Caring for your extensions should be fully understood. You need to know how to manage and care for your extensions. You must treat your Hair Extensions carefully and it is important that you don’t scrub your extensions too hard as you have to make sure that your bonds are securely in place. When you are washing your extensions you should brush any tangles out first and use a gentle shampoo as well as a strong conditioner. This is because your extensions don’t receive natural oils from your scalp so you need to keep them conditioned.

The main thing to remember when it comes to your Hair Extensions is treating them with respect. Make sure you treat them how you would treat your own hair.

Bridal Hair Care

Your wedding day is possibly the worst time that you could suffer from a bad hair day. Woman imagine their big day from when they are girls, dreaming of what dress they will wear, where the ceremony will take place and of course what they will have done to their hair. This is why it is highly important that you thoroughly plan what you want to have done to your hair.

There are many options open to you when is comes to picking a hairstyle for your wedding day. You can create a masterpiece with your hair even though many women are often afraid of going for the style they want out of fear that it won’t look right on the day. You should speak to your stylist; make an appointment to have a consultation so that you can describe what you like and what you don’t like. Don’t worry if you have no idea of what you want when it comes to your bridal hair; your stylist will be available for suggestions. Also if you see a style that you only like part of don’t disregard it; tell your stylist what aspects of that style you like and which you don’t and explain why.

It is important that certain aspects are taken into account when it comes to deciding on the style that you want for your bridal hair. Aspects such as your personality, wedding dress and the image that you want from your wedding should be taken into account. You should think about the styles that can actually be physically done on your hair and the styles that suit your face shape.

Remember there are always little cheats to get around any problems that you may have with getting the style that you want; for example if your hair is slightly thin for the style that you want you can always fill the gaps in with flowers. If your hair isn’t quite long enough for the style you want you can have extensions applied or if you want to hold an up-do in place you can use a tiara. The options open to you when it comes to your bridal hairstyle are almost limitless.

The lead up to your big day can be a highly stressful time and it is easy to lose sight of your normal diet and exercise regimes. If this starts to happen it is important that you take time out to focus on your hair; investing in aspects such as hot oil treatment can vastly improve the overall condition of your hair. Also keeping your hair in good condition on the lead up to your wedding is vital. It is recommended that at least six months in advance of your wedding that you visit your stylist for a consultation and for a hair cut.

The practice/rehearsal of your bridal hair comes one week before your actual wedding day. On this practice run your hair will be cut/coloured for the last time before your wedding; it will also be a chance for your chosen style to be applied to your hair, complete with any accessories that you have chosen. On the night before your wedding day you need to ensure that you do not tie your hair up in any manner and that you have washed your hair on the morning.

Have you considered the benefits of Hair Extensions?

Thanks to the recent swarm of celebrities who are sporting this latest hair trend, hair extensions have become widely available to everyone with more and more colours and styles becoming available too. Hair extensions are the answer to many people’s prayers, both men and women. They allow us all to have longer, fuller and more colourful hair.

The availability of hair extensions in the past few years has shot right up meaning that whatever style, colour, texture, length or condition of your natural hair there will be a hair extension out there suited for you, it is deciding on which ones to have applied that can be the hard part but as long as you speak to a professional you will be able to find hair extensions that are perfect for you.

Most people choose to have human hair extensions applied as they provide the best texture, condition and look the most realistic but which ever type of hair extension you choose they will be blended into your natural hair for the most realistic and comfortable finish but just how do you decide the length and style of your hair extensions? You are able to have any length of hair extension that you want of up to 26” or 30”; if you opt for anything longer than this you are placing extra weight on your scalp, which may lead to uneven pressure and damage to your natural hair. For the best looking hair extensions for a woman of average height you should opt to have your hair extensions about 22” in length or less.

One question that many people often have when it comes to the application of hair extensions is whether it hurts. The simple answer to this question is no if at any stage when you are having your hair extensions applied it starts to hurt you should get out of there straight away. Stylists who are trained in all aspects of the application and removal of hair extensions should place your extensions in firmly but comfortably. The tension that you feel when they are being applied should be even all over your head with no points pulling or hurting. It is also important that you don’t put up with someone telling you it has to be really tight in order to be secure, remember pulling your hair out is not a good idea. It should be noted however that you will notice a difference in feeling on your head for the first day or two but after this time you won’t even feel that they are there.

Once your extensions have been applied it is important that you treat them with the same respect that you would treat your natural hair with; however there are a few things that are going to be slightly different and some of the things that you should be aware of are as follows:

• When brushing your hair extensions use a soft bristle brush and brush your hair from the bottom and gently work your way up
• Remember to gently tie your hair up while sleeping
• Do not colour your own hair extensions at home
• To prevent tangling, run your fingers through the braid extensions
• It is important to not spray your extensions with conditioners or any silicone based products as they can cause the braids to slip

One of the most important things to remember however when it comes to your hair extensions is to speak to your stylist, they are your best guide as to what to do and not to do when it comes to your hair extensions.

Hair Extensions

Most women at some point in their lives dreams of having long flawless hair. And the women that have painstakingly grown their hair will agree that it takes quite a bit of time and effort to keep their hair in top condition. Most of us have tried to grow our hair but often fall at the first hurdle. It gets to that awkward stage where its longer than normal but not long enough, it’s hard to style and most of us give up and get it cut.

In this day and age we don’t have to wait for anything. The instant way to getting the long hair we want is by buying either long haired wigs or long pieces of hair extensions. Hair extensions have been around for a number of years now and many movie and music stars have all adorned them at some point. They are the perfect way to create an instant long haired look.

Like anything new it’s not long before variations come out and the same can be said about hair extensions. However wearing wigs is not a new thing as it goes back a long way. As far back as the Egyptian times both men and women wore wigs or hair pieces. During the late 1800’s human hair pieces were used for the first time but not until recently were human hair extensions available.

In the beginning extensions were only worn by either the very rich or celebrities. I think the main celebrity that made hair extensions very main stream was Victoria Beckham who had dozens of hair styles based around extensions. One day she would have short cropped hair, the next she had longer hair. Being one of the most photographed women in the world, her image was on the cover of every magazine and newspaper. With this type of publicity and her and her husband’s popularity it wasn’t long before people saw the true potential of hair extensions.

There are many different types of hair extensions some are more permanent than others. If your after a non or semi permanent option you should think about clip in hair extensions. These extensions are really very easy to apply and come in all different colours and lengths. You can get them to completely match your own hair to give you longer hair, lowlights, highlights or just added volume. Clip in hair extensions come in one or multiple pieces of varying widths with a strong practically invisible clip. These clips make attaching them to your own hair very quick and simple and are virtually undetectable.

Permanent hair extensions are the ones that are fused to the hair. With this fusion method about 20 to 50 strands of human extension hair have a warm protein glue applied all around it. Then they use a clear plastic template to isolate the portion of natural hair from the rest of the scalp, the glued extension hair is then attached to a small portion of the natural hair which is pulled through a hole in the template. Then the two lots of hair are rolled together in the fingers until a smooth protein bond is made. All of this needs to get done for each extension which is why it is a long and tedious procedure. The extensions last for between 3 and 6 months before they will need either removing or redoing.

Another method is by using pre tipped strands which is where the extension strands are pre tipped with protein glue. This glue then melts and bonds to the natural hair when using a heated hair connector tool. It is thought this method uses’ less glue as it is premeasured so it leaves the hair better bonded and less likely to chip away.

If you chose to have the permanent hair extensions make sure you use a salon or hair dresser that have experience in applying these extensions. There are plenty of scare stories where people have lost their real hair because the hairdresser want experienced enough and burnt the hair or used too much glue. Getting a realistic affect will only happen when an experience hair dressers applies them. It makes sense to try and use the clip on ones until your are really sure you want the permanent ones. Clip on hair extensions are just if not more realistic than the fused on method, but the real bonus is that you are not messing with your natural hair, you are just adding more hair via clip which can be removed when and wherever you want. And each clip is only a few pounds out and they last for years.
