Beauty Secret 1

Unchap/beautify your lips with this trick.

For soft, beautifully kissable lips, you need the
following: a washcloth (I'm not kidding either), warm water, and your
favorite brand of lip balm.

First you apply a coat of lip balm. Then wet one corner of the
washcloth, put the warm wet corner of the washcloth between your
lips, press them together and hold for 5 seconds.

Then gently massage any remaining lip balm from lips with the wet
corner of washcloth, and dry lips with a corner thats dry.

Apply lip balm again to keep your lips chap free. You may also apply
lipstick or lip gloss on over the layer of lip balm.

I learned this was the best way to keep lips from chapping, after
going through too many winters with dried, and chapped lips.

Beauty Secret 2

Clear your acne, and get beautiful skin.

For clear glowing skin, a little home remedy does wonders for my
complexion, as it should with yours too.

Steam your face for 20 minutes every night after washing it, then
every other night after steaming your face, massage a half teaspoon
castor oil over face.

Leave it on at night while you sleep and wash off immediately
upon waking. Steam face for twenty more minutes in the morning after
washing. When you finish steaming your face splash your face with
cool water and dry it.

If your skin starts to show any signs of a pimple forming. Take one
night off from steaming and applying castor oil and apply Benzoyl
Peroxide over face.

Take the next night off also from the steaming, castor oil, and
benzoyl peroxide. Continue facial regimen with steaming and castor
oil the following night.

This beauty secret will moisturize your face at the same time it will
help clear up acne and pimples. But only if you work at it
consistently.

Beauty Secret 3

Good taste in clothes.

When shopping for clothes try to stay away from really big
prints, or weird mixes of colors (eg. green, pink and blue flowers
combined on a white background, for instance).

Clothes like these just scream "I'm color blind!" And if you
in fact, actually are color blind, always shop with a friend who
isn't and has good taste in clothes.

Buy basic colors. Solid reds, pinks, blues, whites, and blacks. Or

Another method is by using pre tipped strands which is where the extension strands are pre tipped with protein glue. This glue then melts and bonds to the natural hair when using a heated hair connector tool. It is thought this method uses’ less glue as it is premeasured so it leaves the hair better bonded and less likely to chip away.

If you chose to have the permanent hair extensions make sure you use a salon or hair dresser that have experience in applying these extensions. There are plenty of scare stories where people have lost their real hair because the hairdresser want experienced enough and burnt the hair or used too much glue. Getting a realistic affect will only happen when an experience hair dressers applies them. It makes sense to try and use the clip on ones until your are really sure you want the permanent ones. The Yuko Hair Straightening Process

Yuko hair straightening is a good alternative to hot irons and causes less damage to the hair; in fact it can turn damaged hair into healthy glossy hair. It can be expensive but the results when done well speak for themselves.

The Yuko System was developed in Japan created by Yuko Yamashita back in 1970. It is a permanent hair straightening system which works on most hair types and leaves your hair straight glossy smooth and straight. Compared to straighening irons which have to be used nearly every day to create straight hair, the yuko system lasts between 8 and 12 months and only needs to be redone when you have significant hair growth. Your hair has to be at least 4 or 5 inches long for the system to work and can be done on coloured hair.

Yuko is highly favoured by professionals and celebrities; it actually restores damaged hair, straightens frizzy curly and wavy hair, leaving a radiant shine and very natural healthy finish.

The process can take anywhere from 3 to 5 hours depending on the length and condition of the hair. The cost can be anywhere between £300 to £600. The success of this treatment is very dependant on the expertise of the hairdresser performing it.

So how is it done?

The first process is to wash and condition the hair normally then spray on a pH balanced “hair water” solution which is in preparation for the neutralising solution. Then pr-treatment protect is applied to your hair to prevent it from being damaged. Next a mild ammonium thioglycolate solution is applied which effectively breaks down the protein bonds of the hair shaft, leaving it week and stretchy. The solution is left on for about 15 minutes. Then the solution is washed out and then the hair is straightened using special flat irons that activate collagen and keratin and dries the hair in the process, all be it with a lot of steam. Throughout high school, I’ve battled my mom, dance instructors, and myself with my weight. I’m five foot nine and people expected me to weigh 125 pounds. I feel as if it’s an on going thing. Weight loss is something that is always on my mind. Whether my brothers are making jokes about me having a constant inner-tube around my waist , or girlfriends bragging about fitting into a size 2, weight is in everyday conversation and an ongoing battle.

The media today sets and advertises the ideal image. These days, everybody is striving for it. Whether its lipo suction, weight loss pills, expensive diet programs, personal trainers, or new lipo dissolve, the ideal image is on most everybody’s mind. Weight loss commercials have taken over radio and television daily. Not only is it a fad for women of all ages, men are just as into it. It bothers me how this has become an obsession. Most Americans are so stuck on the tall and thin image, like I said earlier, they will do anything to achieve it. Contemporary’s society is much different from society back in the day. American’s today are concerned solely on image and what others think of them. In the past, I feel people concentrated more on important matters. People today believe that is what they are supposed to look like, and I find that very disturbing. They hope for the ideal image, and assume being tall and thin is going to make them a better, happier person.

Overall, I feel Americans today have their priorities jumbled. In the long run, being tall and thin is not the most important thing. After all of the tabloids, and different ways to help lose the weight, who knows how serious weight loss is going to be in the future.

There is always a continuously changing new fashion haircut from the Pob – Victoria Beckham’s famous bob hair cut to the feathered long hair of Jennifer Aniston. Hairstyles and haircuts I feel are an important statement for everyone, it’s the first thing most people look at your face and of course your hair frames your face.

I’m guessing you’ve all had a hair disaster or mistake somewhere along the line or a hairstyle or colour you regret now. I will always remember a few years ago the layered look came into fashion and as I love the colour pink I wanted something different so went for the layered look very short layers on top too with bright pink coloured hair between the layers. Yes it looked fab but when I wanted to grow my hair again oh dear bad mistake. To this day, I’m still growing the layers out and that was 5 years ago, in many ways I wish I had never had it done but it was nice at the time.

If you’ve got short hair there is only a certain amount of styles you can have a go at and also the option of having it up if you want. The shorter you have your hair you have less chance of being able to do this, that’s why personally I couldn’t have short hair all the time would drive me nuts. The bob that Victoria Beckham had created in the summer of 2007 became so popular thousands of people had their locks cut off to sport a new short bob called the Pob. I was tempted as I liked it but I knew I would get bored very quickly, I am one of those people who gets bored with the style and colour of their hair very quickly. I’m always trying something new out, a new colour, whether it be a new shade of blonde or adding a hint of pink somewhere.
A short hair cut can suit a lot of people from short and spiky to short and sleek, whatever your style may be, make sure it suits your face shape, always best to ask your hairstylist on what kind of cut they think would suit you.

If you’re hair is long then your like me, I just keep growing mine the longer the better, well I think I would have to have it cut if it got to my lower back. With long hair you have more to play with, from layers to feathering the front layers or having a variety of colours placed into the hair. I love having the ability to have my hair down when I want using a middle or side parting to having it up in a ponytail, pigtails, plait, bun or a messy up do. The list is endless with long hair, you can do what you want, of course it’s more difficult it you have layers put in as I found out, but handy grips come in place then. If you’re lazy like me some days, you can just put your hair back in a ponytail and leave the house, having short hair I know I couldn’t do this.

Whatever the length of your hair I’m guessing you like styling it in the ways you can. I like to have the option to what to do with my hair and with long hair this is possible from up do’s to down do’s. I would definitely go with long hair any day but I know other people prefer short hair, they find it easier to manage but I found it more difficult, always having to style it, at least with long hair you can leave it to dry and put it up when you want.

Visiting a hair salon can be a very scary and daunting task for some people girls and boys, women and men. It may be because they’ve had a scary experience in the past maybe the hairdresser cut the hair wrong, the hairdresser didn’t do what the client told them too, wrong colour or even an allergic reaction to the bleach or colour.

Whatever your reasons I have 10 steps in which I hope will help you get over your phobia of visiting a hair salon:

1. Only go to reputable salons – a recommendation by a friend or family member is always a good start

2. If you’re having colour on your hair insist on a skin test – a skin test is when a small amount of bleach or colorant is placed on your skin to see if you have a reaction, a reaction can be itching, blistering and or redness. A skin test is done at least a week before any hair appointment.

3. Tell the hairdresser exactly what style you want – if you have an idea what you want your hair to look like and have a picture take it to the hairdressers with you this will not only put your mind at rest but will help the hairdresser too.

4. Tell the hairdresser what you don’t want – if you don’t like one particular style tell the hairdresser, if you go into a hairdressers and say do anything you feel would look good but you hate one particular style, make sure u tell them.

5. If you want 1 or 2 inches off your hair and that’s all tell them – if you’ve gone to the hairdressers just to have an inch or tow off your hair tell the hairdresser that’s all you want doing. Don’t let the hairdresser sway your decision.

6. Choose a hairdresser you get on with – in a hair salon there’s always more than one stylist so choose one you like and can get on with, it will then be easier for you to talk to them telling them what you specifically want from your hair.

7. If your really nervous book with senior stylist – senior stylists in a hair salon are stylists with more experience. They will cost more money but will listen to your every need and make sure your happy with your cut and or colour.

8. Only want your hair done but bombarded with extras available – most hair salons now offer not only hair services but nail treatments, tanning, make-up services etc. if you don’t want any of these offered to you just make it clear in a nice manner you’ve come to have your hair done that’s all thank you.

9. Sacred what the colour will look like – if you want to change your hair colour, the best way is to start with 1 or 2 shades either lighter or darker of your normal hair colour. Don’t go from blonde to dark brown or dark brown to bright blonde, you need to do it gradually.

10. Go for a consultation before you book – if your still unsure why not book a consultation with the hairdresser of your choice and tell them exactly how you feel, if you’re scared explain why. They will then give you advice on what styles and colours would suit you, then you can give it a think before your actual appointment.

Is you hair frizzy, uncontrollable, have lots of split ends, feels horrible, is greasy and or just looks and feels a mess. If so I might have some helpful tips for you.

My hair used to get really frizzy when I blow dried it after I had washed it and the split ends could be seen easily, it felt like a fake wig sometimes. It didn’t feel soft to touch and it looked a mess whatever I did, then the good old hair straightners came out. I went and purchased a pair of pink ones think they cost £20, they took a long time to heat up, but when they did I could not only straighten my hair but get rid of the frizz that took over my head. I loved my hair straightners and proberly used them most days, but then I noticed my split ends had got worse and I had them half way up my hair not only on the ends, I didn’t know what to do. Luckily it was summer and I had gone on holiday I had taken my hair straightners but couldn’t be bothered to actually use them so I let my hair dry itself. After tow weeks of letting my hair dry naturally without the use of a hairdryer or my hair straightners I noticed my hair had calmed down, there was shine and it felt so soft.

Following my holiday I kept letting my hair dry naturally and I couldn’t believe the difference my hair was suddenly looking really good, soft to touch, less split ends and no frizz. The more weeks I didn’t blow-dry and straighten my hair the better my hair got so for months I rarely got out my straightners and if I did it was only to straighten out the front bits of my hair, but then winter came. I struggled to let my hair dry naturally as it was taking hours to dry and if I did go out I would of proberly caught a cold so I began to blow-dry my hair again. I decided not to use my straightners the day I blow-dried my hair if this was possible as I found this helped a lot. If I was going out or wanted my hair to look good I did use my hair straightners but not for ages just a few swipes through my hair and it was done.

I have now been doing this for the past two years and I still can’t believe the difference in my hair. It feels so soft, it looks good, yeah I still get split ends but I can cope with them as there just mainly on the ends now not half way up my hair and the frizz has completely gone I don’t get it anyway which is fab.

I hear so many adverts, advertisements in magazines saying use this product this will protect your hair when blow drying and straightening but I just can’t use any of these products as there too heavy for my hair. I have tried so many different products but they all do the same make my hair feel heavy, not nice and it gets a lot greasier quicker which is something I can’t stand. So if your like me forget the products, try and do what I do allow your hair to dry naturally at least once a week whatever the weather, don’t straighten your hair directly after blow-drying it wait if you can to the next day and if you do have to straighten your hair everyday only do it quickly don’t spend ages doing it, your hurting your hair!!!!

This form of hair extension is safe to do at home and the removal of these hair extensions can also be done at home as the remover can also be purchased from the same stores as the glue. You should make sure you have the remover before you put the extensions in so you can guarantee you can get them out when needed.

A good source of human hair comes from European hair. Hair from Italy and Spain comes naturally straight or naturally wavy; it is what most people use for their hair extensions. It’s strong and long lasting, lasts up to a year if treated properly.

Human hair extensions go through a process. They mostly start off dark and have the colour stripped from them. They are then re-tinted, this isn’t however done with hair dye, it is done with fabric dye. The hair care of your extensions is a lot like the care for your own natural hair. You should wash and condition your hair extensions every 2 – 3 days; however the most important thing to remember is to moisturise your extensions. They don’t receive your natural scalp oils and so they need added moisture with every wash. Without moisture your extensions will become brittle and break easily, leading to split ends.

Remember your extensions will not grow back, so be careful not to brush them harshly or burn them with a blow dryer or straightening irons. Treat them with respect as they won’t last forever and cost a lot of money.
